Man Sues Strip Bar for bladder damage
A stripper at the Penthouse Club in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania allegedly ruptured the bladder of Patrick Gallagher, who filed a lawsuit against the club last week.
In November 2010, Gallagher visited the club with friends to celebrate his upcoming marriage. His friends bought him the 'bachelor's package' and the strippers took him onstage. The girls told him to lie on his back beneath a pole, reports Philly.com
One stripper climbed up the pole and then slid down quickly onto his abdomen, causing him great pain, according to his suit. By the next morning, Gallagher was in the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a ruptured bladder that required surgery.
Gallagher's lawyer said that he also suffered nerve damage in his back and hip.
The lawsuit accuses the club of negligence and seeks at least $50,000 for medical costs, pain, humiliation and mental anguish.
